I start thinking about how mad and frustrated I am by so many things being cancelled – school, appointments, sports’ games, concerts, sit down dinners at restaurants, church services. . .

Then I think of how eager I am to have a chunk of time to complete some projects – attic and cellar cleaning out, porch painting, reading a book in a day, binge show watching, sleeping in, cooking, baking. . .

I have no reason to be over-optimistic, but sometimes with the sunshine on my face, I feel positive.

  1. I’m with you, since I consider myself a realistic optimist. It is annoying, this cancelling of meetups with friends, not knowing how schooling is going to proceed after Spring Break…but it’s nice knowing I’ve got more time on my hands!

  2. I agree! We have to find the sunshine in the clouds so to speak, or we are all going to be very unhappy people.

  3. Thinking knitting sounds like a project.

  4. So many wonderful possibilities are out there. We will find a way to make this new normal work for us – sounds like you’ve got a good start.
