Vacation days spent with my sisters are always filled with laughter. Picture a cardboard box filled with old family photographs overflowing with memories and questions. Since they came from an elderly aunt, many of those pictures are of people we don”t know. It was fun to see our father and his sisters in their church clothes, probably posing on one sunny summer morning. Many were strangers dressed in old fashioned outfits, but even some of our contemporary cousins were difficult to recognize in their youth. Earlier photos of my own sisters and brothers brought spasms of laughter – “What are you wearing?” “Who cut his hair like that?” “Where were we?” “Doesn’t she look like . . . ?” Precious memories, making them and sharing them.
